Hut Building and Ground Hire Terms and Conditions.

1.
Applications: An application for the hire of the building and facilities must be
completed in writing on our application form.
The Scout Group reserve the right to refuse any application and impose
additional terms and conditions.
2.
Charges: The hire
charges shall be in accordance with our scale of charges currently £10 per
hour. (2008);
other rates are at the discretion of the Executive Committee e.g. members of
the 26th Scout Group.
3.
Payment Terms: The hire
charge will be paid within 14 days following the hire date.
4.
Cancellation of Hiring:
The Scout Group reserve the right to cancel the hire at any time for
whatever reason.
5.
Permitted use: The building
and grounds shall not be used for any purpose other than stated in the Hirers
application.
All conditions must be adhered to and the Hirer is not allowed to sub let the
use.
6.
Liability for loss or damage of property:
Neither the Scout Association nor the 26th Leicester (Blaby)
Scout Group accept any liability
or responsibility for any loss/damage to
any person or property arising from the hiring of the building and its grounds.
7.
Parking: Vehicles must
be parked in the spaces provided in the front of the Scout Hut ensuring access
to the building of emergency vehicles at all times.
8.
Boundaries: Persons using
the building must remain within its boundaries except for parking. No access is permitted to County HQ property
(including adjacent fields).
Building
· Hire of the building includes the use of
the kitchen, toilets, heaters, tables and chairs and cleaning equipment plus
garden.
· When entering the main hall ensure fire
exits are opened by rotating the circular knob, reverse when leaving the
building.

The building must be left locked and secured with all
electrical equipment switched off.
Heaters are operated by switches on left on entering the
building. Lights on right when entering the building.

The
building must be left clean and tidy with all
rubbish removed by the Hirer.
· Scouting equipment must not be used and the
first floor is out of bounds.
· No alcohol should be sold on the premises.
